Breana Wonsey

Medical Student, Universidad Técnica de Manabí

Breana Morie Wonsey is a fifth-year medical student in Ecuador with a deep commitment to public health and community service. She began her journey as a youth leader and organizer, focusing on the intersection of environmental and health issues. Breana previously served as the Vice President of Rotaract, where she led several environmental community based projects including large scale beach clean ups on the coast.  She also worked as a Program Educator and Strategist for the Mentes Brillantes (Brilliant Minds) program at SOSi Somos Salud Integral Ecuador in collaboration with Walking Palms Global Health, where she played a pivotal role in promoting science education and vector-borne disease risk awareness during the pandemic. Her passion for improving health outcomes and fostering community resilience continues to drive her work.
