Jordan King, Ph.D.

Fellow, Sustainability Education

Jordan King is a graduate senior fellow at GCSE. He will be contributing as a part of the second phase of a project of the GCSE Sustainability Education Consensus Statement and Core Competencies Community of Practice to develop a consensus statement around program-level core competencies in sustainability. Jordan will work to develop resources that support GCSE Member institutions' administrators, faculty, and staff at the program and course levels to foster sustainability competencies in students. After receiving his master's degree in Human Dimensions of Natural Resource Management and Environmental Education, Jordan spent several years as a university instructor and worked as an administrator at a sustainability-focused campus field station. In this role, his efforts prioritized experiential teaching and learning, community outreach, program management, and collaboration with environmental and educational professionals. Jordan is currently pursuing a doctorate degree in the School of Sustainability at Arizona State University. His work focuses on connecting sustainability and higher education, specifically through leadership, assessment, and meaningful experiences for students.
