Jan Paul is the Water Quality Field/Lab Technician for the Water Resources Program in the Penobscot Nation and has been in this role since 1997. She is also a tribal citizen of the Penobscot Nation and has family relations throughout the Wabanaki tribes in Maine. Jan, along with her colleagues, have supported the expansion and growth of their water monitoring program, which now includes more than 95 weekly-sampling locations, a state of the art lab, and a suite of studies focused on toxic contaminants (including dioxins, PCBs and mercury) and their impact on the aquatic environment.
