Olivier Berné is a CNRS research scientist in astronomy in Toulouse, specialized in infrared observations of star and planet forming region. He is a lead scientist of an international observing program of the Orion Nebula on NASA’s James Webb Space Telescope mission. Together with Tamara Ben Ari, Olivier Berné co-founded the Labos 1point5 initiative, which gathers several hundred scientists in France with the objective to decrease the environmental footprint of academic research.
